Privacy Policy
Who we are
- Your website address is: www.petlocker.online.
What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It
- Comments:
 ○ When visitors leave comments, you collect their name, email address, website, IP address, and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. ○ An anonymized string (hash) created from the visitor’s email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if they are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here. ○ If the comment is approved, the user’s profile picture may be visible publicly.
- Media:
 ○ Users should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can extract location data from these images.
- Contact Forms & Cookies:
 ○ If a visitor leaves a comment, they may opt to save their name, email, and website in cookies to avoid re-entering the same information in the future. These cookies last for a year. ○ When visiting the login page, a temporary cookie is set to check if the browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is discarded after closing the browser. ○ Upon logging in, cookies will save login information and screen preferences. These cookies last up to two days (login) and one year (screen options). ○ If “Remember Me” is selected, the login persists for two weeks. Upon logging out, login cookies are removed. ○ Editing or publishing an article generates an additional cookie to indicate the post ID. This expires after one day.
- Embedded Content:
 ○ Articles may include embedded content from other websites (e.g., videos, images). Embedded content behaves the same as if the user had visited the other site. ○ These external websites may collect data, use cookies, and track user interactions with the embedded content, especially if the user has an account with that site.
How Long We Retain Your Data
- Comments: Comments and metadata are retained indefinitely to automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments.
- Registered Users: For users who register, their personal information is stored in their user profile. Users can edit or delete their information at any time (except for the username). Administrators can also access and modify this data.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
- If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data or ask for it to be erased. This does not include data required for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where We Send Your Data
- Visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
