Active Ingredient: Each mL of suspension contains 14.4 mg of Pyrantel Embonate (equivalent to 4.97 mg of Pyrantel).
Indications: It is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic active against:
Roundworms (Toxocara canis, T. cati, Toxascaris leonina)
Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, A. tubaeforme, Uncinaria stenocephala)
Mechanism: Pyrantel works by paralyzing the nervous system of the worms, allowing them to be expelled from the pet’s body.
Convenience: The suspension can be mixed with food or given directly and does not require the animal to fast before or after treatment.
Dosage and Administration
The dosage varies significantly between dogs and cats, so it is crucial to follow the directions carefully:
Animal Type Dosage
Dogs 1 mL per kg of body weight
Cats 4 mL per kg of body weight
Deworming Schedule:
Puppies and Kittens: Administer a single dose at 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks of age.
Adults: Repeat deworming every 3 months.
